Everything you might want to know before you begin. Do not see your question? Just ask.
What are your working hours?
Everyone has unique schedules and commitments, so Michelle works with individuals from all around the globe to arrange meetings that fit into your life. Share your availability and she will take care of the rest.
Do you meet in person or virtually?
Both. Interviews can happen virtually by video call or in person. Many families choose virtual interviews so relatives in different cities can take part.
Who can tell their story?
Anyone. Michelle works with all ages, from children to elders. You can tell your own story, or arrange a story for a parent, grandparent, spouse or friend.
What does the first consultation cost?
Nothing. The first one-hour consultation is complimentary. Together you review the stories that matter most, decide which ones to focus on, and plan the follow-up visits.
How long does it take?
After the interview and writing are complete, allow about 2 weeks to finalize edits and publish your story.
Can I include my own pictures in the book?
Yes. Photos, letters, recipes and keepsakes are encouraged. The more details you share, the more the finished book feels like your authentic work.
Is the book printed or digital?
Your choice. Stories can be printed and bound into a keepsake book, delivered digitally, or both.
Do you charge for shipping?
Yes. Books ship anywhere in the world. Shipping is discussed up front so there are no surprises, other than your story arriving published and perfect for you.
Do you charge for additional edits?
If you need further edits after your story is finalized, a $100 consultation fee applies so your story is crafted exactly the way you envision it.
Can I give a legacy story as a gift?
Absolutely. Legacy stories are meaningful gifts for parents and grandparents, retirements, milestone birthdays, teachers, doctors and anyone who has shaped your life. Reach out and Michelle will help you plan it.
