Our commitment
Accessibility Statement
Every story deserves to be heard, and every visitor deserves to be able to use this website.
Our goal
The Visitor aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We designed and built this Site with accessibility in mind from the start, and we test it regularly.
What we have done
- Semantic page structure with a logical heading order and a “Skip to main content” link
- Full keyboard support, including the menu, the FAQ and the page-turning book, with clearly visible focus indicators
- The sample book can be turned with buttons, arrow keys, swipe or tap, and announces the current pages to screen readers
- Text and interactive colors chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast requirements
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
- Form fields with visible labels, clear instructions and error messages that are announced to assistive technology
- Respect for your device’s “reduce motion” setting, which turns off decorative animation
- Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, desktop screens and browser zoom up to 400%
